There Once Were Millions
A Monarch Butterfly Exhibit
You’re invited to the opening reception of a unique art exhibit on October 3rd, 2026 from 5-8pm. During the reception enjoy a short film by Ole Schell. The exhibit, on display from Oct. 3rd to 18th, will feature artwork by Elizabeth Weber & 3026 Artists.
This event is made possible by our partners at SAMO Fund & Field Institute, Ventura County RCD, the City of Santa Monica, Community Arts Resources, West Marin Monarch Sanctuary and National Parks Service!
Don’t miss this FREE event and enjoy light refreshments, an informative conservation based film, incredible art, a drop-in workshop by Low Hanging Fruit and learn from a panel of conservation experts, including RCDSMM’s Conservation Biologist, Isaac Yelchin.

Trippet Ranch Tree Care
We need your help to heal the wildlands of the Santa Monica Mountains.
During the Palisades Fire, we lost many previously planted oak trees within Trippet Ranch of Topanga State Park. Our team is now ready to invite volunteers back into this fragile space and begin the process of healing this invaluable woodland.

We Are Seeking Public Input on the Latest Topanga Lagoon Restoration Project Design
Project partners are hosting a virtual meeting on Oct 29th to gather public feedback
The Topanga Lagoon Restoration Project will host a virtual public meeting on Thursday, Oct. 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. to share updated project designs and gather community feedback as the project approaches its 90% design milestone.
The meeting will provide an opportunity for the public to see how the project design has progressed and provide input before the design reaches 90% completion, anticipated by the end of 2026.
The meeting will be presented in English, with live captioning available in multiple languages. Additional accessibility accommodations are available upon request.
