Trippet Ranch Tree Planting
We need your help to heal the wildlands of the Santa Monica Mountains.
During the Palisades Fire, we lost many previously planted oak trees within Trippet Ranch of Topanga State Park. Our team is now ready to invite volunteers back into this fragile space and begin the process of healing this invaluable woodland.

The Return of Western Monarch Butterfly
A Photo Exhibit, Short Film & Discussion
You’re invited to an exciting and unique film screening being hosted in partnership with Sonic Butterfly, Ventura County RCD and Samo Fund!
We will be screening a film by Ole Schell and featuring photography from Elizabeth Weber as well as an immersive, one of a kind musical experience by Sonic Butterfly.
Don’t miss this FREE event and spend time with us under the stars, enjoying music, film and art alongside likeminded monarch enthusiasts.

Monarch Habitat Restoration in Topanga State Park
We are seeking volunteers to take part in a unique restoration event!
The goal of this special opportunity is to restore monarch overwintering habitat in lower Topanga State Park, within the Palisades Fire burn scar. Our team will be directing volunteers on the care of newly established native plants as well as the planting of additional natives. We will be directing volunteers off-trail, over uneven ground with the goal of maintaining the integrity and health of ecosystem, so we ask volunteers take special care during this event.
Once you rsvp, you will receive more information on meeting and parking locations. We’ll also provide more information on how to best prepare for the event.
We look forward to your help in our efforts to reforest and heal the wildlands of the Santa Monica Mountains in the wake of the Palisades Fire.
