Safe Clean Water Grant Program

This year the RCDSMM was awarded funding from the Safe Clean Water Program which fund stormwater initiatives that improve water quality, increase our local water supply, and provide community benefits, like green spaces and parks.

Through this grant we will be able to fund 34 FREE field programs at Malibu Lagoon and Tapia Park for Title I schools (transportation not included). As many as 70-72 students may participate in a single program.

We will also be offering pre- or post-program on-campus lessons to help prepare your students for a successful and enjoyable field trip and deepen their connection to the content.

Each field program includes a free teacher workshop, designed to help teachers prepare their students for their hands-on field program and ensure the day is both enjoyable and effective. This teacher workshop is occurring on September 25th, 2025 if you’re interested in booking a Malibu Lagoon Program and October 4th, 2025 if you’re interested in our Tapia Program.
