Partner with Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots Youth Program

Roots & Shoots empowers youth all over the world to drive change in their local communities and landscapes by developing and implementing their own conservation and/or community engagement projects. Teachers receive resources and support through the R&S platform to foster compassionate changemakers and leaders focused on critical thinking, problem-solving, empathy, and collaboration. A partnership with the RCD means hands-on support from our skilled staff and access to local landscapes. These student-led projects are appropriate for grades 6-12.

Benefits for Your School:

By starting a Roots & Shoots group at your school, you can access:

  • Free Resources: A wealth of materials to guide your projects.
  • Project Grants: Small funding opportunities to help with expense materials for your initiatives.
  • Expert Support: Access to RCD Biologists and Educators who can help bring your students’ community projects to life.

Program Cost:

Small grants of up to $250 are available to cover materials through Roots & Shoots. Additional program costs (materials and staff time) will vary based on project interests.
